People spend a lot of money on sunglasses. They are one of our favorite accessories and can be worn during a variety of different activities and in a variety of different settings. Worldwide, the sunglasses industry creates more than $34 billion in revenue, and that might be due in part to how often people damage their sunglasses. People break, lose, or sit on their sunglasses as often as every 14 seconds which amounts to a huge number of damaged sunglasses. Many people’s first instinct is to throw them away which means that there are probably a huge number of sunglasses sitting in landfills right now.
One of the most common ways to damage sunglasses is to scratch the lenses, but rather than throwing them out, you can get sunglass replacement lenses. This means that if your frames and nose pieces are intact (which can also be repaired) all you have to do is get the lenses swapped out for a new set and your sunglasses will be good as new. There are also polarized replacement lenses which are more protective of the eye, so even if your lenses aren’t scratched you may want to get replacement lenses anyway.
The environment is the only one we get and it needs protecting. One of the easiest things you can do is getting sunglass lens replacement rather than throwing what would otherwise be a perfectly good pair of sunglasses in the trash. If you choose to replace sunglass lenses, that also means that you won’t have to spend the money on buying an entire new pair. Find more.
